This extremely relaxing CD can be used at any time of your pregnancy, during the birth, breastfeeding and beyond.  During
the early weeks of pregnancy it will very effectively relax mum, then as the baby's hearing starts to develop in the womb listening to it can help to calm both of you.  Recorded at 60 bpm - the optimum heart rate for a resting mother - feel your breathing and heart rate slow in time with the music calming mother and baby together.

It is useful when used during labour, as the carefully researched tempo will help relax your breathing and aid a calmer birth experience.

A baby begins to hear sounds from outside the womb between 20 and 24 weeks into the pregnancy and will start to recognise familiar noises of the home, family and any music played.  After the birth, when a baby hears the music it heard whilst in the womb, it will be reminded of a time of safety and security, its heart rate will lower, calming and soothing the baby.  The magical melodies are really effective in helping a baby stop crying.

Although this CD has been composed with mothers and babies in mind, it is useful for anyone who needs to relax and unwind.  It is a great de-stresser and very succesful when used at bedtimes to encourage deep, peaceful sleep, in both children and adults.  It's wonderful for meditation and yoga too.

"I listened to this CD the whole way through my third pregnancy and found it really helped me to relax. We would put it on when we got back from playgroup, and most times both my two daughters and myself would all fall asleep. Bliss when I was heavily pregnant!

There are three tracks on the CD and the music is very pretty, not the usual irritating new age stuff (sorry, that just might be me who's not into it!).

I had a home birth and played the CD during labour to calm me down - its recorded at a special pace to lower your heart beat.
I still use it now if i'm feeling stressed, or i put it on in the girls room at night if they are having touble getting to sleep and it really works in getting them to drift off.   All in all a great buy"
  Angie, U.K

Track Information

Pregnancy and birth comprises of three tracks:

Track 1 - Mother....This piece uplifts the mind whilst relaxing the body, taking you out of your current mood and placing you in a more positive one.  The sounds used are gentle, with a simple heart beat pacing the track, the echoing piano represents the mother's beauty and gentle nature.

Track 2 - Father .... A more brooding composition, with earthy tones and sounds representing nature, reflecting a father's quiet yet deeply felt love for his child.  Use this track to relax you, quieten and guide your mind to your favourite place.

Track 3 - Unity .... The soporific beat leads this track through ever changing sequences of sounds set around a central repeating theme.  Etherial sounds drift and dance with gently echoing electric and classical guitars.  Lay back, close your eyes, clear your mind and drift off.
